The Association of Business Women is a specific and competent partner in dialogue with the Government, NGOs, and the private sector, which contributes to social and economic development, with a special emphasis on women entrepreneurship as a factor of economic growth. The association plays a leading role in organizing dialogue and cooperation between businesswomen, in order to support and promote women entrepreneurs in Macedonia and the region.
The Association of Business Women was officially established in July 2010 as a non-governmental organization that actively works to promote and strengthen women’s entrepreneurship in the country and in the region. Women’s entrepreneurship as a separate branch of economic development in the private sector as well as in-state institutions and associations is not clearly recognizable. Over time, the Association of Business Women, through many activities, contributes to the recognition of women entrepreneurship as a separate entity for strengthening the economy in the country. As a final result of the recognition and promotion of the activities of our association, in December 2018, the National Strategy for Women
Entrepreneurship was adopted, which the Association developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of NorthMacedonia. The Association of Business Women is actively working to improve the conditions for women in business and thus becomes a recognizable entity and now has more than 300 members, women entrepreneurs.

The development of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship has gained its affirmation in the Macedonian economy not only as a means to nurture and promote the entrepreneurial spirit, but also to raise awareness of the consistent need for change and reform of the economic scene, as one of the main MCC priorities.
